Developmental Trauma

The free document ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Developmental Trauma’ has been created by Child and Adolescent Counsellor Simmone Boyce to support childminders, nurseries and schools in understanding and supporting developmental trauma.

Simmone Boyce is a Child and Adolescent Counsellor at Football Beyond Borders (FBB) creating safe spaces for secondary school students to explore their inner and outer worlds. Simmone has a Level 6 Diploma in Child Counselling and studied a Level 7 Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling awarded by The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE).

Simmone is passionate about creating access to safe spaces for children and young people, where their voices are heard and they feel seen. She is committed to supporting those working with children and young people to be Trauma Informed.
